“In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
One-hundred years ago, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children in Portugal and, over several months, told them many things, among them:
· the world should be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart
· a greater war than World War I was to come
· the Church and indeed the world was in danger of persecution through Russia
The prophetic nature of Our Lady’s revelations to the children have made Fatima the most famous of Marian apparitions. In this 100th anniversary year of Our Lady of Fatima’s appearance, our parish is participating in a very special commemoration of the event.
The International Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will spend the weekend Of
May 13 and 14 here at St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Anyone who wishes will have an opportunity, after each mass, to venerate the statue and offer prayers for the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima.
We will also have a Holy Hour, dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima,
on Sunday May 14th at 3 pm.
If you want to learn more about the apparition of our Mother Mary at Fatima, join Luke Doyle for a special presentation on
Tuesday May 9th at 7 pm (Porter Hall)
This year in the life of the Church and the world marks the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, which are commemorated on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th. In this monumental year of grace in the life of the Church, join us for an evening reflecting on the message given by Our Lady of Fatima, and how this message still directly applies to our lives 100 years later.
