God is calling you to a unique purpose in life, a work of love that only you can do. Discern your charisms (spiritual gifts) and begin to discern God’s call. Charisms are special abilities given to all Christians by the Holy Spirit to give them power both to represent Christ and to be a channel of God's goodness for people. You have received gifts in Baptism and Confirmation through which God intends His love to reach others. No matter where you are in your faith journey, this is for you! Come and discover these charisms in you!
This powerful experience can change your life! Recognizing these gifts in your life often lets you see the world through a different lens. Living out your gifts fills your soul and allows the most mundane task to be prayerful.
We invite you to come to this workshop and begin learning about these amazing gifts and how they are working in your life! This day will lay the foundation for the beginning of discernment. During the initial workshop, participants will take the Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory. A teaching team from the Catherine of Siena Institute in Colorado Springs will offer the introductory workshop.
After the workshop, there are two more steps that are essential to discovering your gifts. Step two is a one-hour gifts interview with a trained interviewer who may be one of your fellow parishioners. Step three is a six- to eight-week guided experience of intentional discernment. This step helps you begin discernment in the real world and will teach you how to develop charism experiments, evaluate your results, and more. These three steps together can unlock new possibilities in your life!
During the Called & Gifted Workshop you will learn:
