Be assured that our prayers, hearts and thoughts remain with your family during this time. We are here to serve you and your loved ones as you navigate these new waters.
who wept at the death of your friend
and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted,
grant us the comfort of your presence in our loss.
Send Your Holy Spirit to direct us
lest we make hasty or foolish decisions.
Send Your Spirit to give us courage
lest through fear we recoil from living.
Send Your Spirit to bring us your peace
lest bitterness, false guilt, or regret take root in our hearts.
The Lord has given.
The Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Our parish is here to support you and offer guidance through the various ceremonies, including the Wake, Funeral Mass, and burial for your loved one. Please contact our Pastoral Ministry Coordinator at 913-402-3920. The Coordinator will put you in touch with a priest for spiritual support and to begin the funeral planning process. We will provide you with planning preparation materials for liturgy and music selections.
The Parish does offer an opportunity for a Funeral Luncheon, provided by dedicated volunteers. This includes a standard meal of sandwiches, various salads, beverages, and dessert.Optional donations of $2-$3/head accepted to replenish supplies and staple kitchen items for these events. (See your St. Michael's Funeral Guide, below, for further information)
