The first metal pipe is completed for the new St. Michael pipe organ slated for completion in 2025. When completed the organ will have 3,204 pipes, the largest being 16 feet tall, and the smallest 2 inches tall. Constructed of hardwoods and metal alloys of lead and tin, the organ will weigh 10 tons.
