Though our parish is again celebrating sacred liturgy publicly, there are those who are unable to gather with us due to vulnerable health or responsibility for others with vulnerabilities. It is for this reason that Archbishop Naumann has extended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. However, even those who are unable to gather with us in our parish church can and must celebrate the liturgy in their homes, their "domestic churches." When we who are baptized pray at home, we do so united with one another, and with the Lord Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, alive in heaven, in the Church, and in our souls. The sacred liturgy goes on in the daily praise and intercession of all the faithful in union with the Mass celebrated here and throughout the world.
A venerable tradition of daily prayer for the laity is praying the Rosary.
Though we are currently unable to receive Jesus in the Eucharist, we can still encounter Him in Sacred Scripture. Lectio DIvina is an ancient practice of praying with Scripture.

Everyone in the parish is invited to pray together on The Lord's Day using Our Sunday Supplication, a resource developed by our Archdiocesan Office of Worship together with our liturgy team here at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish!
